![]() MPLAYER PLAY DVD MAC OSThis is one of those things that make me want to revert to Windows and never again use Mac OS X. I hope somebody has a really decent solution to play DVDs. ![]() Granted, 95% of my collection is comprised of 1990s DVD pressings so encryption is minimal but that is not the point. It is essential I am able to play from a mounted image because I always play unencrypted discs instead of using the actual physical disc. I would preferably like an equaliser with 32 hertz and 16 kilohertz frequency bands instead of the low end beginning at 62 hertz or whatever terrible frequency bands are apparent in VLC's equaliser. My question is if anybody has any suggestions of a more accessible DVD player software. However, the equaliser is just as good as that in MPlayer OSX Extended, and the specific preset I saved is actually remembered across sessions. There are so many unlabelled controls which lack help tags which makes it impossible to assign labels. Apple should be ashamed of themselves for making an app so inaccessible. Finally, I tried the native DVD Player app. However, the app must have a bug because it terminates unexpectedly every time I try to play a VIDEO_TS.ifo file. There exist many unlabelled controls but the frequency bands and decibel scale is much better than that of VLC. You can also convert these media files into different formats to make them more compatible with other devices and applications. Please donât throw away your old discs lying around extract them and enjoy them on MPlayer. Second it was MPlayer OSX Extended which is really decent for music. It supports discs such as CDs, VCDs, DVDs, and even Blu-ray. First it was VLC but the interface is too cluttered and nothing that showcases the convenience of Media Player Classic Black Edition or Home Cinema on Windows. ![]() When referring to Mac OS X, I have tried several players and not one is completely accessible. When referring to Windows, I know exactly what is the most accessible and what works the best for playing DVDs whether they be the actual disc or an image of any format with absolutely no encryption courtesy of SlySoft AnyDVD HD. ![]()
